My grandma had fun trying on the hat she used to wear to church. Most of the hats were from 60 years ago! These are just a few of them.
We hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. We had a very busy thanksgiving week. Jess’ parents came into town for the weekend before, and we made a visit to Hermann, Mo for a food and wine trail. On Sunday, Jess went to a teacher conference at the Lake of the Ozarks. Wednesday, the three of us left for Steve’s family in Nebraska. We had a good time seeing family, eating, playing games, football, shopping, and bowling. We then finished our trip in Iowa at Jess’ grandparents, Saturday night. Colbie did great through out the trip, we weren’t sure how it would go.:) We now are back home a getting ready for the next three weeks of school.
On Saturday, we had a Halloween Party at our house. We had a great time, especially playing American Idol on the Wii. We hope everyone had a good Halloween/Reformation day:)
Colbie enjoyed celebrating Jess’ birthday as well! She received presents for Jess’ birthday from both Christine and Mom and Dad Otte. The basketball frisbee is from the Ottes and the outfit is from Christine.

Well we left Boca Raton and left behind “Charlie” (the rat) and our termite friends, only to come to St. Louis and be preyed upon! We are now letting Colbie be outside by herself, however we just leave the back door ajar so she can come in when she wants. That led to having this gigantic preying mantis on our door jam, luckily we had a friend here who bravely took one of our drumsticks and threw it outside.
Our friends, Aaron and Abby, also got a puppy this year, her name is Bauer. Colbie and Bauer are the same age, but as you can see, Bauer is a little bigger. They were having fun getting to know each other last week. Enjoy, oh yeah, Jess didn’t think we should put this on our blog as she stated in the movie with all the dogfighting allegations going on, but it is far from that!
Colbie is still figuring things out in this crazy world, like bottles! This was the first night she experienced them, but now she plays with them all the time. We now put a treat inside of the bottle without the top on and she spins it around until the treat comes out! It’s fun for everyone!
Our puppy is usually on the run and it is difficult to get pictures of her when she is up and about. She keeps us entertained when she is up and when she is sleeping. Here are pictures of her interesting sleeping positions. Check out the upside down position and the head up against the leg of the table!
