This past weekend, Jess’ friend from St. Louis came for a visit. We made sure we took her to the beach and to JB’s a restaurant on the beach. We also witnessed a beautiful rainbow over the ocean!

About two weeks ago when the Thomsens were visiting we took them to the beach. The beach flags indicated that it was possible that jellyfish and man-o-war were in the water. It was chilly so Steve and DJ were the only brave ones to enter the water.
We went back the next night and there were lots of jellyfish and man-o-war washed up on shore. We had to be carefull as we walked because the man-o-war can still “sting” you with their tenacles after they are dead!

BCS Bowl

We are definietly excited for the National Championship Bowl Thursday night. It is hard not to be when we live 45 minutes from where the game will be played and are surrounded by Florida Gator fans.
On Monday, our church had a dinner with Bob Tebow as the speaker. Bob Tebow is the father of Tim Tebow, Gator Quarterback and the 2007 Heisman winner.
The Tebows are a very strong Christian family. They have a great minstry in the Phillipines which often includes mission trips and their orphanage. All of their children are involved in spreading the word to all parts of the world. One small way Tim Tebow witnesses is through his eye black, they read Phil. 4:13.

Christmas
January 5, 2009Steve surprised me with tickets to Denver for Christmas! I was really struggling with being away for the first time on Christmas and Steve arranged for us to arrive on Christmas Day around 11am Denver time! We also surprised my parents and sister making it a great Christmas! Here are some pictures of our fun times together!
For Christmas my dad got a head flashlight. We took it farther and created a hide and seek in the dark game. We all dressed up in black and played all around the house!
