This past weekend St. Paul hosted a fashion show as a fundraiser for the teachers. It is a very nice event held at the Marriott with a catered dinner. It is the tradition that the new teachers are models. In order to model, I had to go to an assigned store and have them find an outfit for me to wear. The store that I was assigned to was for older women and was “high class”. The dress I wore was $300 and the shoes were $300 as well. (the heels were really high, especially for someone that doesn’t wear heels!) I was also able to get my hair down by a salon in the area, which was a fun experience.
We left our tree and all of our Christmas decorations in storage. Our original plan was to buy a little cheap tree, but when we got to Target we caught the Christmas bug:) We bought a 4 1/2 foot tree with lights, garland and some ornaments. It helps brighten up the apartment and puts us in the Christmas spirit! We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas season!
(Sorry, you might have to tilt your head. I tried but couldn’t get it vertical)
We were able to visit Steve’s family for Thanksgiving. We even saw some snow! We had a great time eating, playing Wii, and spending time with family. One of the highlights of the trip was going to the Nebraska Colorado football game. (Steve and I have actually never watched this rival game together.) It was a great game for both sides and ended with a 57 yard field goal, a record for Nebraska!
