First Tropical Storm
August 18, 2008
This is the projected path of Tropical Storm Fay (only a tropical storm because it has to have 74 mph winds to be called a hurricane). If you look at the map, Boca Raton is straight east of the Tuesday AM line. It looks like we are going to be safe from the Eye of the Storm, but will be receiving the outside effects. We have experienced a lot of rain today (Monday) and it seems as though that is just going to get worse with more wind in the next day or so. Keep everyone in your prayers with this storm, it has taken a toll on Haiti and Cuba already. Everyone around here is saying, “oh it is only a category 1, no big deal!” But it is strengthening and people are starting to question their thinkings. We will be stocking up on water and gas today just to be cautious, hopefully we will over prepare for a small storm! We will keep you updated!

Hey Steve & Jess,
The reason I got on the computer was to look at the weather in Boca Raton & you already have your site updated!!! We’re thinking about you and praying for you. Stay safe.
Thanks Sandy, we are doing great, there was a couple times that we woke up in the middle of the night because the wind was pounding on the windows, but other than that, lots of rain! We safely experienced our first tropical storm!
So you go from blizzard to hurricanes – always a different twist (no pun intended) in your life!!! Stay safe. I will let you know when we have a blizzard here and you are walking to work in a jacket!!
Love
Mom
