Rain, Rain Go Away!!
March 27, 2008
We have been receiving rain for many days now. On Saturday night, the river near our place crested at 25 feet above flood stage. We are however in a higher place, but please pray for those who have been impacted and most likely will be impacted again with these flood waters. Here are some pictures that were taken from this weekend. This first one is at an intersection that is pretty close to our place. The flooding was really bad at this intersection because it is in between two hills. So this picture is a little more dramatic than what the water looks like around the area, but still a cool picture! It is a little blurry, but the red thing by the road signs is a semi trying to drive through the intersection.
This is one of the bridges that goes over the river near us. Not much of bridge anymore!

You know you are in flood watch when a beaver swims across the highway!

Like we said before, we are doing fine, no problems for us with the flooding, but whoever is praying for rain, Stop it!!
Hi,
We are praying that the rain and snow will stop sometime!!! I had to follow a snowplow to work on Wednesday – yuck!!!! We are suppose to get rain and snow for the next week. Hopefully that won’t be heading your way. Plus I don’t want to have snow on the ground when Beth comes in April!!
Love,
Mom
We are receiving more rain and snow today – we won’t send it your way!!!!
Hopefully all this will be out of its system when Beth comes. Can’t wait to see you soon. I bet you are anxious for the 22nd to arrive soon. You need to put a map up and then stick a pin where you are going.
Thanks for sharing the pictures! That is amazing. You are 25 ft above the flood stage and we are 15 ft below our normal water level. Hard to believe that your rivers run down stream to us…
Talk to you soon
Andrew
